Christiana Gbenda
Christiana Gbenda is the President at FirstClasFunds Home Loans, Inc.
Christiana ability to combine over previous years of industry expertise in operations, sales, business efficiencies, and vendor services through the eyes of an originator makes her a sought-after advisor in the industry. Over the course of her career Christina has broken through the barriers of many glass ceilings to sit on executive leadership teams and has held executive board positions at companies like Bank of America, Countrywide, Prospect Mortgage and Mortgage Corporation of America, Inc. Her diversified experience includes compliance, origination, credit risk, post- closing and secondary marketing management.
Jamie was one of 7 inductees into the Inaugural Hall of AIME in recognition of her contributions to the Broker community. She is a Women With Vision award recipient and leads the way for women in business and enjoys being an active member of FirstClas, the Women’s Mortgage Network and Women With Vision. She has been a guest on numerous industry podcasts including Next Level Loan Officers, Inside Real Estate, Leadership Mastermind and Broker to Broker. She is often invited as a Keynote speaker and Panelist at industry conferences where she speaks passionately about building a sustainable business, effective leadership and empowering others to find their seat at the table.

JOHN KENNEDY
John Kennedy is a native Canada. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, he relocated to West Virginia when he got married in 1993. John started his college years at San Diego State University, but ultimately received his BS degree in Finance with a minor in Real Estate from California State University Northridge. Now he finds happiness in the achievements of his independent adult children who visit regularly and enjoy their time spent outdoors together at their lake residence while wake surfing and other water sports.
Over the years, Brad has founded, owned, and operated several successful mortgage companies, an escrow company, a real estate brokerage, and real estate investment group. His previous company, Mortgage Corporation of America, was licensed in 43 states and sold mortgage pools directly to Wall Street on the secondary market. John is not afraid of lofty goals. which strives to revolutionize the real estate industry to make it easier and less costly for buyers and sellers while using technology to help guide them in a streamlined way.
Many of John employees have now worked with him for well over 20 years across multiple companies that he has founded. John admits that his most valuable assets are his employees and loyal clients. In both cases, many have returned to him time and time again. He is honored that they continue to place their confidence in him helping them achieve their career or home related goals.

James Aruna
I was born in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to San Diego, California, in 1959 when my father became one of the first employees for American Airlines at San Diego International Airport. I attended Patrick Henry High School in San Diego and began my career in advertising by selling radio commercials for a local Rock ‘n’ Roll radio station. Later, I established my own advertising agency, where I produced television commercials and placed TV, radio, and print advertisements for various clients.
I transitioned to banking in the early ’90s, starting at Wells Fargo Bank in their Car Dealer Auto Lease department. I eventually moved into the Home Equity Loan department. With over 30 years of mortgage lending experience, I have held positions ranging from originator to senior executive, earning Presidents Club recognition and maintaining an outstanding history of customer reviews. My extensive knowledge and expertise help clients achieve their individual housing and equity goals.
Today, my focus is on helping adults over 55 with Reverse Mortgages and Reverse Mortgage 2nd loans. I adopt a consultative approach, whether you are aging solo, married, or an adult child helping a parent age in place. I am passionate about helping clients, referral partners, and family members understand the options for accessing home equity based on individual circumstances. I always mention other alternatives that may be better for you based on our conversations.

I reside in rural San Diego County with my spouse of 50 years. We have an adult daughter and son, along with two grandchildren. I also help care for my parents, aged 95 and 93.
